About Becky
Becky is a lifelong resident of Fayette County, Pennsylvania, a graduate of Uniontown High School and Boston University with a bachelor's degree in Science. She earned a degree in communication and a minor in psychology! She started her communication career working at several radio stations on the East Coast and in Northeast Pennsylvania. When she returned to Pennsylvania, she worked for approximately 20 years in our family business at a personal care home. After earning several certifications, she became an assistive technology instructor for the visually impaired for both the State of Pennsylvania and our local Blind Association with the goal of developing independence and employment skills for my clients. Most recently, she decided to open my own business. Her blindness and lack of transportation were big factors in this decision. Currently, she is a wholesale distributor for Amazon. Throughout the past several years she has volunteered in several areas including the Lions Club, Leader Dog, and hopefully soon my own nonprofit. Her own nonprofit called One Blind Lady and a Veteran to reflect that she is married to a veteran. Though she takes this nonprofit very seriously, she wanted its name to be fun and relaxed! Her mission is to share my experiences and skills and to help blind and disabled veterans open their own businesses and become productive individuals.

Nanci M. Burk, earned a B.S. and M.S. from SIU-C, & an M.A. and Ph.D. from Fielding Graduate University. She has taught for 20 years in Arizona at Glendale Community College and Northern Arizona University, including 14 years online. Developing course curriculum for face-to-face, hybrid and online platforms, Nanci's teaching goals have been to empower student learning and facilitate diverse learning modalities.
