It can be challenging to find all these ideas for social media content when you must post something every single day on multiple platforms. Fresh, quality content that gets a lot of users’ attention is exactly what companies strive for every day. When people become excited to see what you are going to post next, that is when they become customers.
In this post, I will share what I believe to be the three most important ideas for expanding your brand on social media. I will be using two different articles, written by subject matter experts. I will be pick from these articles the three most important pieces of information. The first article is called “21 Social Media Post Ideas” and here is the link to the article:  This article goes into detail about a lot of different ideas to help improve your social media presence. If you can build your own brand, then building a brand for a company will come easy to you.
The second article is by Halle Klingman called “52 Effective Social Media Post Ideas and Examples to Fill Your Calendar.” This article also goes into great detail about filling your schedule with your social media presence. What I mean by that is you need to have set times when you will drop content to get the best results.
Here are the three most important things I learned from the two articles.

Videos

Digital videos now account for 82% of all web traffic. If you do not have video content on your website or social media, you are leaving a lot of engagement with potential customers on the table. There are so many different video options to choose from as well:
  • Stories (Facebook and Instagram)
  • Snapchat
  • IGTV
  • YouTube
  • Live Video (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram)
  • Tik Tok
Pro Tip: You can share video on any of your channels, but on Facebook and Twitter it is always best to just upload videos directly to get the best engagement. On YouTube and Instagram, it is always best to share the video link instead of uploading the videos directly.

Company News

Share as much exciting information as possible about your organization on your social media feeds. The number one thing I read in the two articles is in order for this news to reach the right people you need to personalize it. A good example of this would be to post a picture of your team celebrating the organization’s release of a new product. Most companies like to just put the link to the press release.
Company updates are especially important on the social media platform Twitter. Data show that 40% of people on Twitter use that site purely for breaking news. This makes Twitter the most important social media platform if your organization is trying to get the word out to the public.

Customer Photos

If you look up a big company on social media there is a good chance that someone, somewhere has posted a picture of themselves using a product made by that company. Posts like these can be a wonderful way to thank the customer and provide new content to be shared on your own account. You do need to remember that you will need to get permission to use other people’s posts.
Customer photos like these will work better on some social media than it would work on others. Instagram and Pinterest are great sites to post these customer photos. Look for the customer photos that best fit your social media content. On Facebook and Twitter this is a lot less important.
Try out some of these ideas to better your brand image across all social media platforms. Make sure you are always staying active, that is the hardest part.
